From Disneyland to Digital Strategy: My Passion for Storytelling and Travel

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about storytelling, whether through words, visuals, or the magic of social media. My career has been a blend of creativity, strategy, and a deep love for connection. It all started with my first professional role at Disneyland, where I fell in love with creating magical experiences. Working at Disneyland taught me the value of attention to detail and the power of sharing stories that resonate. That initial spark led me to an internship at Disney Corporate, where I focused on technology communication, further solidifying my belief in the importance of impactful messaging.

Over the years, I’ve managed social media accounts for leading organizations, including Amgen and Eli Lilly, at MSL Global. I’ve launched successful campaigns, grown online communities, and spearheaded a TikTok channel. My journey has also included exciting freelance opportunities, such as founding Tales of a Disneyland Cast Member, which later evolved into Disney Darlings. This platform allowed me to connect with Disney fans worldwide and develop vibrant, shareable content, an experience I’ll always cherish.

Social media isn’t just a job for me. It’s a passion. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with incredible teams, build brand awareness, and share stories that inspire. From growing an Instagram following to over 30,000 at Accuride International to crafting engaging campaigns for non-profits like the Dempsey Center, every project has taught me something new and fueled my desire to keep evolving.

When I’m not diving into the world of social media, you can usually find me with a camera in hand, capturing moments big and small. Photography has been a creative outlet for me for years. It’s my way of preserving the beauty and joy in everyday life. I also love traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. This year alone, I checked off bucket list adventures like visiting Dollywood, riding a boda boda in Uganda, and soaking in the hot springs of Costa Rica. Of course, my trusty travel companion is my dog, Willy, who makes every journey even more special.

Beyond the professional milestones, this journey has also been deeply personal. Being laid off this year allowed me to focus on my side projects, including travel writing, photography, and becoming a travel agent. These experiences reminded me of the importance of adaptability, creativity, and, most of all, community.
