If you’re heading to Las Vegas and looking for something entirely out of the ordinary, let me tell you about AREA15. This immersive indoor playground is like stepping into another world—a mix of art, adventure, and pure fun that had me in awe from the moment I walked in.

The crown jewel for me was Omega Mart by Meow Wolf. On the surface, it looks like a quirky grocery store, but step inside, and you’re in for a wild ride. Hidden doors, secret passageways, and mind-bending installations make you question what’s real and what’s not. Every turn is a new discovery, and it’s impossible not to get lost (in the best way) in the surreal storytelling and intricate details. Omega Mart is next-level if you’re into art and interactive experiences.

Another standout for me was Dueling Axes. It was my first time throwing an axe, and I have to say—it’s much more fun and satisfying than I expected! There’s just something about hearing that solid thud when the axe hits the target. The staff was fantastic, giving helpful tips to ensure everyone felt confident, even if they were first-timers like me. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline and fun.

But what truly sets AREA15 apart is its variety of experiences beyond Omega Mart and Dueling Axes. It’s like an indoor theme park for adults, with something new to explore at every turn:

  • Illumination: A cutting-edge immersive venue that uses 4K projections, 360° audio, and even scents to transport you to different worlds, like the world of Lite Brite or outer space.
  • Wink World: This attraction takes you through six infinity mirror rooms with mesmerizing combinations of light, color, sound, and motion.
  • Haley’s Comet: The world’s first dual-track roller glider, offering a thrilling ride as you soar through the venue.
  • Five Iron Golf: A fun, urban golf experience featuring simulated golf games for all ages.
  • Museum Fiasco: A high-energy audiovisual installation with synchronized lights and beats that feels like an underground rave.

What’s even better is how flexible AREA15 is when exploring these attractions. Admission to the venue is free, but the experiences inside are priced individually, ranging from $5 to $65 (source). For those wanting to try multiple attractions, you can purchase Experience Passes, which bundle different experiences at a discounted rate.

There are also a few things to remember when planning your visit. AREA15 is open to all ages, but visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. On Fridays and Saturdays after 8 PM, the venue becomes 18+ (source). Some attractions have age restrictions, like Dueling Axes, recommended for ages 10 and up, and Illuminarium, which transforms into a 21+ evening experience on select days.

Experiencing AREA15 also made me think about what could have been with Disney’s Epcot Play Pavilion. Walking through this incredible indoor space, I couldn’t help but imagine how magical that pavilion might have been—something interactive, imaginative, and fun for all ages. AREA15 proves that indoor attractions can be as impactful and memorable as outdoor ones.
